Possibility

It is with immense sadness, that we report the passing of our friend and colleague, Lizzy Lulu.   On May 12th, 2006, she succumbed to Cystic Fibrosis, the terrible disease she lived with so gracefully for her short 13 years and shared with all of us through her performance in Possibilty.  This courageous little angel showed us the true meaning of living a full life, and we are honored to have known her and had the opportunity to work with her.

Please keep Lizzy's family in your thoughts and prayers - and hope that one day the doctors are able to find a cure to this horrible disease.

Studio C Company is proud to announce that Possibility has won the Grand Jury Prize for Short Film at the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival.  The film also took top honors in the acting and directing categories - Miss Lizzy Lulu won the Best Actor Award and John Coppola took home Best Director in New York in November.

The film was produced in conjunction with our June 7th Event, which benefitted Studio C and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  The short is being donated to the CF Foundation by Studio C to use for future fundraising purposes to fight this terrible, debilitating disease.

SUMMARY

A burger is not cooked just right… a blouse doesn’t look pretty enough… life seems unfair when we stress out over the simple disappointments of each day.  The contrast between these seemingly mindless complaints compared to the daily struggle a young Cystic Fibrosis patient faces becomes the backdrop for this heartwarming and inspirational story.

Eight-year old Lizzy starts and ends each day with meds, treatments, and challenges – just to maintain her breathing.  Thanks to her Mom’s constant reminder that everyday is a gift while each day is a challenge, Lizzy takes it all in stride with her cheerful perspective on making the most of what she has – a lesson to all who attend her birthday party and see the possibilities that life has to offer.
